AHEADD Requests Proposals 3rd Annual National Adult Autism Awareness Day Presentations Pittsburgh, PA April 14, 2011 – 8:30am to 4:30pm
AHEADD invites organizations and/or individuals to submit proposals for the 3rd Annual National Adult Autism Awareness Day. Proposals should explain how you, your organization, or your field of expertise promotes services that enhance the lives of adults affected by autism spectrum disorders. Your presentation should focus on services for adults with autism and expanding the capacity to effectively serve this growing community.
AHEADD will accept proposals that address one of the following areas of need:
post-secondary education
recreation/community activities
equipment/supportive technology
housing
employment
As the presenter, you are responsible for transportation, hotel stay, office supplies and other fees incurred. Your conference registration fee(s) will be discounted if your proposal is chosen.
Last year, approximately 250 people attended and we have a target audience of 400 people this year- including professionals, parents and adults with autism.
The deadline for proposals is October 31, 2010. Your proposals will be reviewed and you will receive word by November 30, 2010 regarding the status of your proposal.
