Karen Friedman
AHEADD DC at UMD College Park
Karen has a BA from Brooklyn College, an MA in Speech and Language
Pathology from Northwestern University, and a PhD in Special Education
from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has worked as a parent
advocate for families with children with special needs, has done research and
has published articles about children with emotional disabilities, and has been
an adjunct professor at two universities. In addition to being a Program
Manager for AHEADD DC, Karen works as a coach and a tutor for individual
students with disabilities, specializing in Asperger’s and Learning Disabilities.
