Carrie Chapin
Carrie is the Regional Program Director for AHEADD Maine. Carrie has been
teaching students with learning differences for over 12 years. Carrie
graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors degree in
special education. She earned a Masters degree in special education from
University of Northern Colorado in 1991. She currently teaches Transitions
at a small private school, with an emphasis on executive functioning and social
thinking skills. Carrie lives in Cape Elizabeth with her husband Kurt and her
two daughters. In her free time, Carrie enjoys skiing, hiking and yoga. Carrie
is committed to helping students achieve independence in the college setting
and is excited to be a part of AHEADD.
